Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service carefully. They govern the relationship between you and Experts Auto locksmith when you engage our professional locksmith services.

Welcome to Experts Auto locksmith. By requesting a quote, booking a callout, or otherwise engaging our locksmith services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. These terms protect both you (the customer) and us (the service provider) by clearly defining expectations regarding pricing, liability, warranties, and service delivery. Please read them thoroughly.
1. Definitions and Scope
In these terms, "we", "us", "our", and "the Company" refer to Experts Auto locksmith. "You", "your", and "the Customer" refer to the person, company, or entity engaging our services.
These Terms apply to all work undertaken by Experts Auto locksmith, including but not limited to: emergency lockouts (residential, commercial, and automotive), lock installation, lock repair, key cutting, transponder key programming, UPVC door mechanism repair, and master key system design.
2. Right of Access and Authorization
When you instruct us to gain entry to a property or vehicle, or to change locks on a premises, you warrant and represent that you are authorized to do so. You confirm that you are either the owner, the registered keeper, the authorized tenant, or that you have obtained explicit permission from the owner to instruct us.
Proof of Identity: We reserve the right to ask for proof of identity (such as a driving licence or passport) and proof of address or vehicle ownership before commencing any work — especially in lockout scenarios. If you cannot provide satisfactory proof of authorization, we reserve the right to refuse service. You will indemnify Experts Auto locksmith against any claims, damages, or costs arising from you instructing us without proper authorization.
3. Pricing, Quotes, and Payment
We operate on a principle of pricing transparency. Our pricing structure is designed to be straightforward, with no hidden fees.
- Upfront Quotes: Whenever possible, we provide a fixed quote or a clear estimated range over the phone before dispatching an engineer. This quote covers standard labour and anticipated parts.
- On-Site Revisions: If our engineer arrives and discovers that the situation is materially different from what was described (e.g., a high-security deadlock instead of a standard Yale cylinder, or severe internal door damage), the quote will be revised. No work will commence until you have agreed to the revised price.
- Payment Terms: Payment is due immediately upon completion of the work. We accept major credit/debit cards via secure mobile terminals, cash, and immediate bank transfers.
- Commercial Accounts: Business clients who have set up an account with us in advance may be offered 14-day or 30-day invoice terms. Failure to pay within these terms will result in late payment fees and potential legal action.
4. Cancellations and Abortive Visits
We dispatch engineers rapidly, especially for emergency callouts. If you need to cancel a requested service, you must do so immediately.
If an engineer is already on route or has arrived at your location, and you cancel the service (for example, if you found your keys or resolved the issue yourself), a cancellation fee will apply. This fee covers the engineer's travel time, fuel, and the loss of other potential bookings during that window. If we arrive and are unable to proceed because you cannot provide proof of authorization, this will also be treated as a late cancellation and the fee will apply.
5. Guarantees and Warranties
We take pride in our professional standards and stand behind the quality of our work.
- Workmanship Guarantee: All labour carried out by Experts Auto locksmith is guaranteed for a period of 12 months from the date of completion. If a fault arises directly due to our installation process, we will return and rectify it free of charge.
- Parts Warranty: All new locks, cylinders, mechanisms, and electronic fobs supplied by us are covered by the manufacturer's warranty (typically 12 months).
- Exclusions: The guarantee does not cover faults arising from misuse, vandalism, attempted burglary, lack of maintenance, extreme weather events, or unauthorized modifications made by third parties after our installation.
6. Limitation of Liability
While we use the utmost care and professional skill, the process of gaining non-destructive entry or drilling heavily fortified locks carries inherent risks.
Experts Auto locksmith shall not be liable for any pre-existing damage to doors, frames, or vehicles discovered during our work. Furthermore, we shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of business, or loss of data (e.g., in complex vehicle ECU programming). Our total aggregate liability in respect of any claim arising out of or in connection with the services provided shall not exceed the total fee paid by you for those specific services.
Nothing in these terms shall limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
7. Non-Destructive Entry vs. Drilling
Our primary approach to any lockout is non-destructive entry (picking, bypassing, or decoding). We successfully open the vast majority of locks without causing damage. However, in certain circumstances — such as when a lock is seized, glued, heavily damaged, or is an exceptionally high-security anti-pick model — drilling the lock cylinder may be the only viable method of entry.
If drilling is required, we will inform you beforehand. Drilling destroys the internal cylinder, meaning the lock will need to be replaced. We carry replacement cylinders and will quote for the replacement before proceeding. You accept that if drilling is the only option, you are responsible for the cost of the replacement lock.
8. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
We strive for complete customer satisfaction. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, you must notify us in writing within 14 days of the work being completed. We will investigate the matter promptly and aim to provide a resolution within 7 working days. If a dispute cannot be resolved through our internal complaints procedure, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We operate a strict 'no call-out fee' policy within our standard London and Surrey coverage area. If we arrive on site and are genuinely unable to resolve the issue due to factors beyond our control, we do not charge for the visit. However, if you cancel the job after an engineer has already arrived on site, a minimum cancellation fee may apply to cover travel costs.
